**About the Role:**

Kiewit Nuclear Canada, a full-service engineering and construction provider, seeks an experienced Sr. Project Engineer to support construction activities in Oakville, ON.

**Job Summary:**

The successful candidate will plan, organize, and implement project management duties, including project controls systems, engineering interface, subcontract and materials management, purchasing, and scheduling. They will provide project administration or support for larger projects and manage technical and administrative staff.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Develop a thorough understanding of contract plans and specifications.
  • Inspect field conditions, identify problems, and take corrective actions.
  • Review new issue drawings and contract documents for change of conditions.
  • Prepare monthly cost projections using project management systems.
  • Improve project operations by recommending better methods, staffing, and procedural changes.
  • Act as managing project engineer/coordinator on multiple projects, providing supervision and on-the-job training.

**Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field or equivalent experience and education.
  • Professional Engineer designation strongly recommended.
  • 7+ years experience in construction or engineering, with 2+ years in nuclear-related construction projects.
  • Infrastructure/Heavy Civil project experience required.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, communication abilities, planning, organization, delegation, teaching, and mentoring.
