Key Responsibilities
  • We are seeking a seasoned professional with a strong background in system engineering and operations to lead our engineering and operations teams.
  • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully delivering solutions, products, and services in third-world and underdeveloped markets.
  • They will have experience in implementing best practices in operations, quality systems, integration, and services.
  • Additionally, the candidate will have significant change management and business transformation experience within mid-sized companies.
  • They will be responsible for managing multifunctional groups of 30+ people, as well as in-country partners and service providers.
  • The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of operational issues associated with product development and system integration, particularly in geographically dispersed teams.
  • They will also have experience with managing complex international multi-component projects concurrently.
  • Program management functions, including cost, time, and customer relationship management, will be a key responsibility.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization, as well as look at situations from several points of view.

Requirements:

  • A degree in or the equivalent to: B.SC Systems Design Engineering, B.SC Electrical Engineering. Masters in Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 15+ years experience in a similar industry; minimum 5 year experience in a senior management role.
  • Strong system engineering background (RF, radio communication, and ATM system) is desirable.
  • Entrepreneurial experience in scaling a company from $25M to $100M and understanding the issues around delivering standard products and customized fixed-price integrated solutions to large enterprise customers and service providers.
