Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Human Resources and Engagement to lead our human resources team and contribute to the success of Pacekids Programs. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to enhance employee engagement and retention.

Key Responsibilities

As a Director of Human Resources and Engagement, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing HR leadership, advice, and guidance to staff on various HR matters;
  • Determining workforce needs and participating in recruitment and other human resource areas as required;
  • Developing strategies for building and enhancing overall employee engagement;
  • Creating and maintaining organizational policies, procedures, and guidelines;

You will work closely with our Executive Director and senior management team to establish and support alignment with the strategic vision and mission of Pacekids Programs.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as an HR Generalist;
  • Post-secondary education in human resources, or a combination of education and equivalent relevant experience;
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources;
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with a track record of meeting commitments and deadlines;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in the English language;
  • The ability to manage multiple projects or priorities simultaneously;
  • A high level of effective project management skills, supervisory skills, leadership skills, facilitation skills, personal initiative, and teamwork.

Estimated Salary
