Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Human Resources Business Partner to join our Corporate team at Macdonald, Dettwiler And Associates Corporation. As a key member of our HR function, you will serve as a trusted advisor to management, providing expert guidance and support on a wide range of HR-related issues and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Group Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client groups, conducting regular meetings and providing HR guidance as needed.
  • Employee Relations: Promote harmonious employee relations, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Business Partnership: Collaborate with management to achieve business goals through effective interventions related to employee relations, organizational development, and performance management.
  • Investigations and Resolutions: Manage and resolve employee relations issues, conducting thorough and objective investigations.
  • Performance Management: Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs for client groups and support the development of training programs.
  • Project Support: Collaborate with the Talent and Rewards team on various projects, including compensation plan roll-outs.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of related experience
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and effective analytical skills
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations governing HR practices
  • Ability to manage ambiguity
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources management from a recognized institution
  • HR designation is an asset
