Scotiabank is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Banking Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Corporate Banking Services team, you will be responsible for servicing our highest valued Corporate Clients with their business accounts, cash management, electronic banking services, and credit facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional client service by acting as the primary point of contact for service, maintenance, escalations, and resolving complex client inquiries.
- Work closely with Global Transaction Banking and other internal departments to effectively onboard new connections or additions to existing relationships.
- Prepare and review documents and system input for bank accounts, cash management, and electronic banking products.
- Administer credit changes by liaising with Corporate Banking to ensure correct documents/collateral are in place.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of Global Transaction Banking products, services, and pricing.
- Maintain accurate and thorough client files, documents, and records.
- Adhere to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and escalation protocol.
- Participate in the growth and profitability of the Corporate Banking portfolio by identifying new business opportunities and recommending or referring clients to business partners.
- Post-Secondary Education or a minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in Financial Services or a related industry.
- Proven customer service and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize.
- Strong Communication (written & verbal) and Organizational Skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Experience in Business Banking Operations, Global Transaction Banking, Global Wholesale Operations, Retail Banking, or Business Banking are an asset.
