At Southbridge Care Homes, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Southbridge Owen Sound.

As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional resident care while following established protocols and maintaining physicians' orders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the highest level of care is provided to residents, adhering to established standards and protocols.
  • Observing, reporting, and recording vital signs, symptoms, and conditions of residents, and initiating remedial health measures as necessary.
  • Organizing and directing functions and activities related to the provision of care to residents.
  • Assisting in the management of nursing and personal care staff.
  • Providing training and professional development to new staff, referring concerns to the Director of Care.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Registration/eligibility for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
  • Previous experience in long-term care, with comprehensive knowledge of duties.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks in order of urgency.
  • Excellent communication and comprehension skills.
  • Developed creative problem-solving skills to address complex care situations.
