As a key member of our Mental Health department, you will provide primary care, consultative services, and care planning for patients with mental health or addiction diagnoses.

Your expertise will be instrumental in promoting best practices in mental health and addiction care, and you will have the opportunity to lead by example, empower your colleagues, achieve results, and develop others through our LEAD Competencies.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide comprehensive advanced practice nursing services, including health promotion, disease and injury prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and support for adult patients
* Develop and implement evidence-based practice guidelines and protocols
* Collaborate with interprofessional colleagues to provide high-quality patient care
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of patient safety

Requirements:

* Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse in the Extended Class (EC)
* Current controlled substance education or willingness to obtain
* ACLS/BCLS or willingness to obtain
* Advanced clinical knowledge and implementation of evidence-based practice
* Superior interpersonal, coaching, and leadership skills
* Excellent decision-making, problem recognition, and problem-solving skills
* Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development
* Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records
* A strong desire and capacity to promote professional practice, recovery model, and excellence
* Valid Driver's license and access to a reliable insurable vehicle
* Ability to travel to venues outside of assigned site
* Recent satisfactory attendance and performance records
* Adherence to Brightshores' CARE Behaviours and LEAD Competencies

Preferred Qualifications:

* Five (5) years or more of current expertise in the care of the adult population experiencing mental health issues
