Job Summary

Coast Mental Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Operating Officer to lead our organization's strategic planning process, provide operational leadership to our senior management team, and serve as a liaison to external stakeholders and partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Plan Implementation
    • Provide programmatic leadership and input for the strategic plan implementation process, in collaboration with the senior management team and staff.
    • Develop and implement a system for tracking, reporting, and evaluating the progress of the strategic plan implementation.
    • Contribute to the enterprise risk management process, identifying organizational risks, promoting risk mitigation, and ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Leadership and Development
    • Lead, coach, develop, and retain a high-performance senior management team, with an emphasis on developing capacity in strategic analysis, planning, and program budgeting.
    • Lead and implement Quality Improvement plans and initiatives.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of staff training programs, in collaboration with the Chief Human Resources Officer.
    • Ensure the continued financial viability of the organization's operational units through sound fiscal management.
  • External Relations
    • Assist in managing and cultivating existing relationships with funders to secure and expand recurring revenue streams and identify new prospects and projects.
    • Publicly represent the organization with the media and external constituency groups, including community, governmental, and private organizations, building excitement for the organization's mission and vision.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic planning, operational leadership, and business development, with a proven track record of success in a similar role. They will be a strategic thinker, a collaborative leader, and a skilled communicator, with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
