Senior Licensed Practical Nurse Supervisor

About the Role:

We're seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a Senior LPN Supervisor. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents, supervising and mentoring our care staff, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert nursing care to residents, utilizing the nursing process to ensure the highest standards of care.
  • Supervise and mentor care staff, providing guidance and education to ensure excellent care services are delivered.
  • Conduct assessments of new residents and monitor their progress, ensuring seamless transitions into our community.
  • Develop and implement Person-Centered Service Plans (PCCs), prioritizing individual resident needs and preferences.
  • Ensure compliance with Resident Assessments/Service Plans (PCCs), adhering to community-specific policies and Alberta Health Services (AHS) regulations.
  • Risk management through thorough monthly care-related audits, identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing with CLPNA.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
  • Experience working with seniors in retirement or long-term care environments is an asset.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with a focus on both residents and care staff.
