Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Earl of Whitchurch. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
  • Order supplies and equipment to maintain a well-stocked kitchen and ensure efficient operations.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure accurate tracking and ordering.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Organize buffets and banquets to ensure a high level of service and presentation.
  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a kitchen environment.
  • Basic security clearance.
  • Own transportation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and provide excellent customer service.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position working 33 to 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and will be expected to maintain a high level of physical fitness.

Language

The primary language of work is English.
