Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Yellowknife Restaurant Limited Partnership. As a key member of our kitchen operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our food service staff, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Food Service Staff: Lead and manage a team of food service staff, including cooks, servers, and kitchen helpers, to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Provide on-the-job training and coaching to staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge in food preparation, customer service, and kitchen operations.
  • Manage Kitchen Operations: Oversee the daily activities of the kitchen, including food preparation, inventory management, and sanitation and safety procedures.
  • Ensure Quality Control: Monitor and maintain high standards of quality in food preparation, presentation, and service to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare Budgets and Reports: Assist in preparing budgets and reports to track kitchen expenses, inventory, and sales.
  • Address Customer Complaints: Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints and concerns, resolving issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in food service management or a related field.
  • Language: English (fluency required).
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced kitchen environment with tight deadlines and physical demands.
  • Physical Demands: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
