We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our Public Health department in Smithers, BC. As a key member of our team, you will provide dental health prevention and promotion services to communities and populations in Northern Health.
Key Responsibilities- Practice in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the College of Dental Hygienists of British Columbia.
- Provide dental health prevention and promotion services to communities and populations in Northern Health.
- Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to promote client-focused care and demonstrate care for and with clients and significant others.
- Develop and implement programs to promote oral health and prevent dental disease in high-risk populations.
- Conduct community outreach and education to promote oral health and prevent dental disease.
- Diploma or Degree in Dental Hygiene from the British Columbia College of Oral Health.
- Current registration and licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the Province of British Columbia.
- Minimum one (1) year recent, related dental hygiene experience including experience in a community health organization or the equivalent working with children, youth, and their families.
- Current valid BC driver's license and use of personal vehicle for business use.

- Four weeks vacation with one year of continuous service.
