We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Dental Assistant to join our Public Health team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing dental health prevention and promotion services to communities and populations in Northern Health.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide dental health prevention and promotion services to communities and populations in Northern Health
• Work in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia
• Collaborate with the Program Lead and other team members to achieve the vision and values of the organization

Requirements
• Grade 12
• Successful completion of a recognized Certified Dental Assistant Program and 1 year's recent related experience
• Current registration and licensure as a Certified Dental Assistant in the College British Columbia College of Oral Health Professionals
• Valid BC Driver's License and access to a vehicle for work purposes
Skills and Abilities
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to deal with others effectively
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
• Ability to operate related equipment including relevant electronic computer systems
• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize
• Leadership and classroom management skills
• Ability to work with children
• Knowledge of techniques and standards of preventive and restorative clinical practice
