Business Development Manager for Furniture Sales

XLNC Furniture & Mattresses is seeking an experienced sales supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales management and be able to lead a team of sales representatives to achieve sales targets.
About the RoleThis is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for assigning sales workers to duties, hiring and training staff, authorizing payments, ordering merchandise, and resolving customer issues.
Key Responsibilities- Assign sales workers to duties to ensure maximum productivity
- Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to develop their sales skills
- Authorize payments by cheque to facilitate financial transactions
- Order merchandise to replenish stock levels and meet customer demands
- Authorize return of merchandise to ensure customer satisfaction
- Establish work schedules to optimize sales performance
- Sell merchandise to customers, achieving sales targets and promoting products
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
- Organize and maintain inventory to ensure efficient stock management
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to achieve team goals
The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced retail environment, managing a team of 5-10 people. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent client focus, and organized time management skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in sales management
- Permanent employment
- English as the primary language of communication
- 35 hours per week work schedule
The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
