Instrumentation and Controls Engineer

JobContax is seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our team in Dublin. As a key member of our engineering consultancy, you will be responsible for specifying and procuring process and BMS field instrumentation, developing I/O lists and instrument indexes, and designing control systems for various industries.
Key Responsibilities- Specify and procure process and BMS field instrumentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop I/O lists and instrument indexes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Design control systems, schematics, and drawings for process, biopharma, data centers, and building services industries, adhering to GAMP5 lifecycle and 21CFR Part 11 Compliance.
- Participate in HAZOPs, ATEX reviews, SIL assessments, and Interlock reviews, providing expert input and guidance.
- Review and input into P&IDs, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Develop Functional Specifications (FS) and User Requirements Specifications (URS) when required, working closely with stakeholders.
- Develop system architecture for new Control Systems, collaborating with automation contractors to deliver innovative solutions.
- Work with automation contractors to develop solutions and systems, ensuring seamless integration and delivery.
- Establish automation and controls systems scope of work, estimating values of completed works and approximate values of additional works.
- Perform site work, dealing with clients and electrical contractors, and attend site meetings, construction, and commissioning support.
- Prepare snag lists of installed works, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Lead and coach younger engineers and coworkers, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Adhere to quality standards, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy, and remain fully conversant with current Irish Regulations, such as ET-101:2008.
- Hold a third-level degree in a relevant I&C Engineering discipline.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in an organization involved in delivering industrial projects.
- Be able to work with automation contractors to develop solutions and systems.
- Be proactive, a good communicator, and able to work well with others in a multifunctional design team.
€50k - €70k salary negotiable dependent on experience and qualifications.
Full-time permanent position based in Dublin.
