Job Summary

Kinectrics is seeking a highly skilled Senior Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering I&C engineering expertise to power generation utilities and other customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide I&C engineering design and analysis for nuclear and other industrial plants.
  • Develop and implement control systems design and equipment specifications.
  • Perform engineering change design and analysis following established change control procedures.
  • Prepare engineering specifications, change papers, calculations, and design bill of material.
  • Assess client problems and determine appropriate means of solution.
  • Manage projects and act as design team lead where appropriate.
  • Interface effectively with other staff on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Stay current with developments within your field of expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or advanced Degree in Electrical/I&C Engineering.
  • 10+ years' experience in I&C design engineering.
  • Proven track record in I&C design and analysis in nuclear power generation or similar highly regulated industry sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of control system design and equipment.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of use of appropriate codes and standards.
  • Experience in project management and interfacing with and coordinating activities of multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • A Professional Engineer of Ontario (PEO), or eligible for PEO status.
