Position Summary: We are seeking a Senior Engineer/Scientist in Instrumentation and Control to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent role focused on the design, engineering, and site operations within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of both conceptual and detailed designs for equipment throughout a structured design process.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineering staff.
- Utilize expertise in electrical and instrumentation engineering, particularly in control systems, to deliver effective solutions.
- Engage with construction and procurement partners, ensuring alignment with project requirements from inception to completion.
- Analyze client challenges and propose suitable solutions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on various projects.
- Stay informed about advancements in your area of expertise.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent) is required.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is essential.
- Experience in new build design or Small Modular Reactor (SMR) design is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with nuclear safety and licensing processes is an asset.
- Proficiency in control system theory and design is necessary.
- Experience in developing proposals and negotiating contracts is beneficial.
- Knowledge of applicable nuclear codes and standards is required.
- Candidates should be pursuing or have attained the P.Eng. designation.
