Space Planning Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Space Planning Specialist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our space planning team, you will play a critical role in providing input into strategic space planning for our various sites within the Eastern and Northern Zones.
Key responsibilities will include generating space reports, studies, and analysis, including space audits, to provide accurate zone-wide space use and allocation information for reporting and planning purposes. You will work closely with zone-specific clinical and community health service staff and leadership, as well as the zone space committee, to identify and evaluate space needs, conduct space audits, and provide feasibility options for consideration and prioritization of changes to space allocation and use.
In addition, you will be responsible for providing guidance based on provincial space guidelines and policies to individuals, service groups, and space committees. You will also be required to travel to other sites and have access to a reliable vehicle.
Requirements for this role include a degree in Architecture or a related field, with significant experience in space planning. You will also need to be proficient in developing architectural schematic planning drawings, high-level architectural details, and outline scopes of work. Additionally, you will need to have experience with AutoCAD and MS Office, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple demands.
We offer a competitive salary range of $37.61 - $47.01 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
