Space Planner

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Space Planner to join our team. As a key member of our space planning team, you will provide input into strategic space planning from various sites within the Eastern and Northern Zones of the Nova Scotia Health Authority. Your expertise will be instrumental in generating space reports, studies, and analysis, including space audits, to inform decision-making and drive business outcomes.
About You- Architectural Technologist or Graduate in Architecture with significant experience in space planning
- Proficiency in developing architectural schematic planning drawings, high-level architectural details, and outline scopes of work
- Demonstrated skills in utilizing AutoCAD for architectural drawings
- Proficient in MSOffice
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple demands
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
- Solid client service acumen and interpersonal relationship skills
- Knowledge of applicable national and provincial buildings codes and regulations
- 5 years of relevant experience in space planning, including balancing multiple stakeholder needs and competing priorities
- Experience in space planning within a healthcare context is an asset
- Demonstrated experience in the development of complex workplace strategies and planning solutions for a large and diverse customer base
- Experience and knowledge of leading practice planning approaches, including innovative and alternative means of aligning requirements for customer program delivery requirements
- Knowledge of multiple current-industry furniture lines, including systems furniture
- Cross-sector awareness and knowledge of the unique special purpose drivers of solution effectiveness in defining programs and solutions for special purpose assets
- Knowledge of space management specific software (ie: ARCHIBUS)
- Experience working within a professional planning service environment
- Travel to other sites is required and must have access to a reliable vehicle
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
- Permanent, full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
$37.61 - $47.01 Hourly
