District Aboriginal Middle/Secondary Education Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a District Aboriginal Middle/Secondary Helping Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the education and well-being of our students.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement culturally responsive educational programs that promote Indigenous knowledge and perspectives.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate Indigenous content and resources into educational programs.
- Provide support and guidance to students, teachers, and staff on Indigenous cultural practices and protocols.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of School Improvement Plans and District Framework for Enhancing Student Learning.
- Work collaboratively with teaching and non-teaching staff, parents/guardians, and community members to promote a learner-focused education system.
- Certificate of qualification issued under the Teachers Act.
- Bachelor of Education or equivalent.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of local Indigenous culture, history, and communities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate technology into educational programs.
