Key Responsibilities:
- Hold a certificate of qualification issued under the Teachers Act
- Possess a Bachelor of Education or equivalent
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of local Indigenous culture, history, and communities
- Integrate appropriate Indigenous content and resources into educational programs
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills
- Display strong classroom management skills
- Integrate appropriate technologies into educational programs
- Collaborate with teaching and non-teaching staff and parents/guardians
- Work collaboratively on a team committed to a learner-focused education system
- Support strategies and structures in the School Improvement Plans, the District (Aboriginal Education) Partnership Agreement, and the District Framework for Enhancing Student Learning
Requirements:
- Certificate of qualification issued under the Teachers Act
- Bachelor of Education or equivalent
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of local Indigenous culture, history, and communities
- Willingness to integrate Indigenous content and resources into educational programs
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong classroom management skills
