About the Opportunity

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our community-based mental health and addiction services team, you will play a critical role in coordinating and supervising the operation of our programs, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive services to individuals and families affected by mental health disorders.

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Social Work and be licensed with the applicable body. They will have a minimum of three years' experience working in mental health and addiction intervention, with a proven track record of providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to clients. They will also have experience in clinical supervision, staff development, and quality improvement initiatives.

The Mental Health Team Lead will be responsible for:

  • Providing clinical supervision and support to a multi-disciplinary team of mental health professionals
  • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based services to clients and their families
  • Developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and outcomes
  • Collaborating with local inpatient, outpatient, and community-based services and agencies to promote consistency and continuity of care
  • Providing leadership and guidance to the team in areas such as client-centered decision making, customer service, problem solving, and conflict resolution

About You

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Has a Master's degree in Social Work and is licensed with the applicable body
  • Has a minimum of three years' experience working in mental health and addiction intervention
  • Has experience in clinical supervision, staff development, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Is committed to delivering high-quality services and has a passion for working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders

Hours
  • Long Assignment Full-Time (100%)/ 75 Hours biweekly
  • Approximately 15 months, dates are approximate and subject to change
  • Travel to various sites may be required
Compensation and Incentives

$51.73 hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.

Successful candidates may also be eligible for a signing bonus and relocation assistance with a defined Return of Service contract.
