The successful candidate will oversee the training and development of our retail staff, ensuring high standards of customer service are achieved.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Excellence: Assist in managing the day-to-day retail operations of the Oakville store, ensuring all processes are executed effectively across all product areas.
- Customer Service: Be a role model for staff in customer service orientation by proactively engaging with clients, working in partnership to solve problems, and addressing difficulties before they escalate.
- Staff Development: Effectively coach and train staff in racquets, apparel, footwear, and accessories, enabling them to educate clients and increase overall sales.
- Racquet Services: Collaborate with the Racquet Services Manager to string racquets, provide customization services, and ensure productivity and quality standards are met consistently.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Oakville Retail Manager, Racquet Services Manager, and Managers across all areas of the business to achieve shared goals.
- Experience: Previous experience working in a retail environment, with a customer service-oriented approach.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills, with a focus on listening, understanding, responding, conflict management, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
- Tennis Passion: A passion for the game of tennis that can be easily conveyed to clients and staff.
- Technical Skills: Experience working with Microsoft Excel, Word, Publisher, and a point of sale system.
