Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operational Technology Systems Expert to join our team at Meridia Recruitment Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and leadership in the administration, planning, and development of various enterprise and plant-level SCADA OT systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and improve operational systems while ensuring high standards of availability, integrity, functionality, and security of the OT systems.
  • Administer and configure various enterprise OT SCADA systems, including development, commissioning, and documentation.
  • Lead the development, configuration, and commissioning aspects of hosting systems and work with teams to manage field supervisory equipment.
  • Manage data historians, develop solutions for data exchange, and integrate third-party systems related to Power Generation and Energy Management.
  • Collaborate with internal IT Infrastructure partners to implement core infrastructure services used with OT systems.
  • Mitigate IT/OT security risks and participate in a team environment to ensure alignment with security industry standards.
  • Provide oversight and administration of OT hosting environments, server-workstations security, user accounts, and business applications.
  • Manage the collaboration process with internal OT and IT Infrastructure partners to implement core infrastructure services.
  • Demonstrate strong familiarity with industrial protocols, network traffic analysis, and troubleshooting with network tools.
  • Support operations to improve OT systems in terms of reliability, safety, and cost-effective monitoring.
  • Provide advanced support of man-machine interfaces, substation automation equipment, and data concentrators.
  • Work with the SAO Team and other sections to design, propose, and budget for new and existing SCADA/telecontrol projects.
  • Carry out evaluation and acceptance tests on new SCADA/host systems and associated equipment.
  • Implement changes for improvement to support the 24-hour Supervisory Central Control Room and backup centers.
  • Assist with vendor support for Automation/SCADA systems, administer vendor support agreements, and monitor contractors performing Automation/SCADA and telecontrol contract work.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences, or related disciplines with 10 years of utility experience in Operational Technology.
  • Senior SCADA Specialist with direct related enterprise OT level supervisory systems experience, preferably with an electric utility.
  • Fluent or experienced in executing projects in the design, implementation, and auditing of SCADA security standards.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in implementing, administering Operational Technology (OT) supervisory systems, supporting management of virtual environments, and administration of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Proxy Servers, Bastion Hosts, and Security appliances.
  • High degree of knowledge and experience in operating platforms, including Linux/VMWare/UNIX and Microsoft enterprise environments.
  • Professional Certification in systems administration, such as Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or comparable certifications.
  • Senior level experience with SCADA historians, different types of databases systems, DBMS, RDBMS, Oracle, PI (Osisoft), and SQL, and developing scripts for automated processes.
  • Experience with Project Management, lead roles in developing solutions, customer product enhancement, automation, reporting, and integration of SCADA with enterprise systems.
  • Working knowledge of RTU, PLC, end devices, and industrial SCADA and automation communications protocols, programming, and network analysis tools.
  • Experience with developing Backup and Disaster and Recovery procedures, conducting cybersecurity audits and risk assessments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent time-management and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ability to work in a team environment.
  • Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent.
  • Undergo successful criminal record check.
