Job Description
This is a great opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our clients. As an OTA/PTA, you will work with patients in their homes, providing therapy and support to help them achieve their goals. Your focus will be on embracing and supporting person and family-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational and physiotherapy services to patients in their homes
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to understand their needs and preferences
- Use good judgment and critical thinking to make decisions about patient care
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A post-secondary diploma as an Occupational Therapist Assistant/Physiotherapy Assistant (OTA/PTA)
- Valid Driver's License, Vehicle Insurance, and reliable vehicle required
- Travel required within rural communities in East Wellington (Rockwood, Mapleton, Minto, Drayton & Mount Forest)
- General knowledge of mobility aids and assistive equipment
