Job Description

This is a great opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our clients. As an OTA/PTA, you will work with patients in their homes, providing therapy and support to help them achieve their goals. Your focus will be on embracing and supporting person and family-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational and physiotherapy services to patients in their homes
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to understand their needs and preferences
  • Use good judgment and critical thinking to make decisions about patient care

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A post-secondary diploma as an Occupational Therapist Assistant/Physiotherapy Assistant (OTA/PTA)
  • Valid Driver's License, Vehicle Insurance, and reliable vehicle required
  • Travel required within rural communities in East Wellington (Rockwood, Mapleton, Minto, Drayton & Mount Forest)
  • General knowledge of mobility aids and assistive equipment
