Wellness Support Professional

About the Role
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Wellness Support Worker to join our team in Bella Coola, BC. As a member of our interdisciplinary community health team, you will provide a variety of day-to-day physical, emotional, and social supports to designated population groups in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with clients to identify and address their needs and goals.
- Provide life skills assistance, information, resources, and demonstrations to support clients in achieving independence.
- Report back to the interdisciplinary team on clients' progress and condition.
- Establish working relationships with various agencies to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
- Co-facilitate support groups, cultural activities, and public education to promote positive change and independence.

Bella Coola is a picturesque community located in a mountain valley at the head of the North Bentinck Channel. With a population of approximately 1800 people, Bella Coola offers a unique opportunity to work in a close-knit community with access to a range of outdoor recreational activities.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Completion of a certificate in a Community Social Service or related program.
- Two years of recent, related experience working with designated population groups.
- Valid class V BC Driver's license (for worksites that require driving to various locations).
