About the Job

Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking (SGCIB) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Investment Banking Professional to join our Investment Banking Coverage Team in Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing our global business relationships with large multinational clients, driving overall client strategy, and generating deal flow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the growth of a selective portfolio of Large Cap Corporate accounts
  • Prepare Pre-Screening / Support Memos (business cases and client profitability analysis)
  • Conduct profitability analysis (advanced Excel modeling) for prospective transactions
  • Special sector studies as needed
  • Corporate Finance data gathering on individual clients or industrial sectors
  • Ability to handle several projects at the same time (2-4 live deals or projects at once)
Requirements
  • Strong Financial Accounting and Corporate Finance skillset
  • Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint
  • 6-8 years of prior work experience in investment banking, corporate banking, corporate finance, transaction services, asset management, or consulting
  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields
  • Proficient in computer-based research tools (Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Thomson Reuters)
  • Knowledge of bank products (can be learned over time)
  • Languages: French, English
