About the Role
The Intensive Family Support Worker plays a vital part in our team's mission to provide comprehensive care plans for pregnant and parenting adolescents. This role requires building therapeutic relationships, developing case management strategies, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic treatment. Key responsibilities include facilitating care pathways, connecting clients to resources, and maintaining accurate case files.

We are an award-winning Children's Mental Health Centre committed to nurturing empowerment, independence, and growth for young pregnant and parenting women, children, and families. Our multi-service agency offers a non-judgmental, inclusive environment with residential care and treatment programs, supportive transitional housing, on-site high school programs, community housing support, referral services, and maternal infant mental health programs. By working collaboratively with community partners, we provide holistic programs and support responding to mental health, education, and transitional needs.

Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Child and Youth Care, Social Sciences, or Behavioural Sciences. You must also have current Standard First Aid, CPR, and CPI certifications. A minimum of three years' experience in mental health/social services is required, including recent experience in adolescent, infant, and early childhood mental health work and case management. Excellent verbal and writing communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with children, youth, and their families. Demonstrated knowledge of out-of-home or live-in treatment programs, transitional housing, mental health care facilities, and community support systems, services, and agencies is necessary.
