Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and develop individualized nutritional care plans for patients with renal disease, taking into account their complex needs and medical history.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on nutrition-related topics, including diet modifications and lifestyle changes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practices in renal nutrition, and apply this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in research activities to advance the field of renal nutrition.
- Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics from a recognized university.
- Dietetic internship from a Dietitians of Canada accredited program.
- Two years' recent experience working with patients with renal disease in a medical or acute care setting.
- Current registration with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.
