Food Service Team Lead

We are seeking a Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Days Inn & Suites Sault Ste Marie. As a key member of our culinary operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of food quality and service delivery.
Responsibilities- Schedule Management: Establish efficient work schedules to meet peak demands and optimize staff utilization.
- Team Supervision: Directly supervise food service counter attendants, food preparers, and kitchen helpers to ensure seamless meal preparation and presentation.
- Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Inventory Control: Accurately estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing stock levels.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that food meets our high standards, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Reporting and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and repairs, submitting timely reports to management.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 month's experience in a fast-paced food service environment is necessary.
- Culinary Knowledge: Familiarity with various cuisines and menu items is essential for success in this role.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. Extended periods of standing may be required.
