About the Role
Pomerleau is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to join our team in Vancouver Island. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for promoting a positive Health and Safety culture across our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Collaborate with site management teams to ensure effective Health and Safety management.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on Health and Safety procedures.
- Monitor and analyze Health and Safety statistics to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Health and Safety management in the construction industry.
- Excellent knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
- University Degree or College Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety and/or Risk Management.
- NCSO designation or equivalent.
- Experience with Certificate of Recognition (COR) and Safety Group (IHSA).
