Reporting to the Nurse Manager or Department Head, the Registered Nurse - NICU plans and delivers direct nursing care to patients in accordance with the unit/program philosophy, competency guidelines, policies, and BC College of Nurses and Midwives Standards for Nursing Practice in British Columbia.

Key Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
  • Graduation from a recognized neo-natal nursing specialty program, or enrollment into specialty training pathway.
  • Current CPR Basic Rescuer certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, or completion within one year of hire.
  • Recent experience in newborn intensive care unit, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Essential Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to prioritize and manage workload effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with various stakeholders, including co-workers, physicians, community agencies, patients, residents, and families.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.

We are offering a competitive salary of $83,195 - $104,993 per annum, commensurate with experience. This includes benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
