New Flyer is a leading manufacturer of heavy-duty transit buses, and we're seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Bus and Coach Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our diverse fleet of buses, from diesel engines to electric drivetrains.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, including minor and major overhauls to maintain optimal performance.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on drive line components, such as transmissions, drive shafts, and differentials.
  • Inspect and repair braking systems to ensure safety and effectiveness.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and components.
  • Assist with installations and repairs of seating, steering components, and glass.
  • Work on electric buses, including maintaining and inspecting high-voltage systems, battery packs, and electric drivetrains.
Requirements:
  • Technical expertise in diesel engines, driveline components, and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic devices, A/C recovery and charging equipment, and shop tools.
  • Desire to pursue or currently pursuing 310T certification.
  • Strong understanding of safety practices and effective use of personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
