Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Bus and Coach Mechanic to join our team at New Flyer. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet of buses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, driveline components, and electrical systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections and repairs of braking systems, suspension components, and other critical systems.
  • Work on electric buses, including maintaining and inspecting high-voltage systems, battery packs, and electric drivetrains.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and advancements in the industry.

Requirements:

  • Technical expertise in diesel engines, driveline components, and electrical systems.
  • Experience with diagnostic devices, A/C recovery and charging equipment, and shop tools.
  • Certification as a Truck & Coach Technician or currently pursuing 310T certification.
  • Strong understanding of safety practices and effective use of personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
