Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Coordinator to join our team at Hunter Express Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing human resources policies and programs, advising managers and employees on HR matters, and mediating labour disputes and grievances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement human resources policies and programs to support the company's goals and objectives
  • Provide guidance and advice to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including benefit programs and collective agreements
  • Mediate labour disputes and grievances in a fair and impartial manner
  • Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, and salary scales to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Administer benefit employment equity and other HR programs to promote a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Coordinate employee performance and appraisal programs to support employee development and growth
  • Research employee benefits and health and safety practices to recommend improvements and best practices
  • Hire, train, and supervise staff to ensure effective team performance and productivity
  • Negotiate collective agreements on behalf of employers or workers to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years in a human resources role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Work Environment

The Human Resources Coordinator will work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload and tight deadlines. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve business objectives.

Language and Work Conditions

The language of work is English, and the work conditions include a 40-hour workweek with a permanent work term.
