Job Title: Technical Assistant, Processing Aftyernoons

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Assistant to join our manufacturing team at Aurora Cannabis. As a Technical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our manufacturing teams, addressing issues related to equipment, processes, and product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance to manufacturing teams, addressing issues related to equipment, processes, and product quality.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of manufacturing processes, equipment maintenance, and quality control activities.
  • Monitor the performance of manufacturing equipment, identify potential issues, and coordinate with maintenance teams for timely repairs.
  • Assist in quality control processes, conducting inspections and tests to ensure products meet established standards.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and technicians to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
  • Track and manage inventory levels of materials and supplies used in the manufacturing process.
  • Adhere to and promote safety protocols and compliance with relevant regulations in the manufacturing environment.
  • Assist in training manufacturing staff on technical procedures and best practices.
  • Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree or technical certification in a relevant field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to technical support activities.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, quality control procedures, and equipment operation.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and analysis.
  • Understanding of safety protocols and compliance in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with maintaining and processing plants.
  • Legally permitted to work in Canada.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed.
  • Flexibility with work and scheduling.
  • Team-orientated with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Safety-conscious.
  • High level of honesty and integrity.
  • Commitment to product quality.
  • Functional English (verbal and written).
