About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Loblaw Companies Limited. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of prepared medication, while maintaining compliance with legal requirements and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify the accuracy of prepared medication, including weekly strip packaged medications, compliance packages, and non-packaged products.
  • Ensure appropriate corrections are completed when identified.
  • Accurately count and reconcile Narcotic and Controlled medications.
  • Organize and efficiently check products to maintain workflow and ensure delivery routes leave on schedule.
  • Protect patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with legal requirements, professional standards, and workplace policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging.

Requirements:

  • Licensed and registered with the College of Pharmacists as a Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT), in good standing.
  • Liability insurance to legally practice as a RPhT.
  • A minimum of 1 year of continuous working experience in a pharmacy environment (Long Term Care, Hospital, or Retail).
  • Experience with high volume filling environments is preferred.
  • Experience working with PacMed or PacVision is an asset.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
