About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Loblaw Companies Limited. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of prepared medication, while maintaining compliance with legal requirements and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify the accuracy of prepared medication, including weekly strip packaged medications, compliance packages, and non-packaged products.
- Ensure appropriate corrections are completed when identified.
- Accurately count and reconcile Narcotic and Controlled medications.
- Organize and efficiently check products to maintain workflow and ensure delivery routes leave on schedule.
- Protect patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with legal requirements, professional standards, and workplace policies and procedures.
- Contribute to a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging.
Requirements:
- Licensed and registered with the College of Pharmacists as a Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT), in good standing.
- Liability insurance to legally practice as a RPhT.
- A minimum of 1 year of continuous working experience in a pharmacy environment (Long Term Care, Hospital, or Retail).
- Experience with high volume filling environments is preferred.
- Experience working with PacMed or PacVision is an asset.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Teamwork and leadership skills.
- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
