About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Care Coordination to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for fostering a culture of learning, respect, and accountability within our organization.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in healthcare leadership and management, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field. You will be responsible for leading and directing the operations of our Continuing Care program, aligning with the priorities of Nova Scotia Health and provincial priorities, legislation, policy, and standards.

You will also be accountable for fostering a collaborative approach to internal and external relationships with stakeholders, partners, and service providers within central zone and across the province. This will involve managing within allocated budgets and ensuring that our services meet the continuing care health needs of Nova Scotians.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a baccalaureate degree in a healthcare field and a strong track record of leadership and management experience. You must be currently registered with an applicable regulatory body and have demonstrated leadership skills in a healthcare environment.

You will also need to have progressive experience in management and administration in a healthcare or community setting, including financial and human resource management. A strong commitment to a philosophy of independence for those who require care and the utilization of evidence to inform practice is essential.

Additionally, you will need to have strong human resource management, financial management, interpersonal, and communication skills. Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills are also required.

Hours

This is a permanent full-time position, with 75 hours bi-weekly. Hours of work may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of $57.05 hourly, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
