We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our People and Culture team as the Director of People and Culture. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing tech company and shape the future of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic plans to attract, develop, and retain top talent
- Collaborate with the executive team to ensure people and culture initiatives align with business goals and values
- Manage quarterly and annual audits for the company
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the People and Culture department
- Run performance evaluation systems and provide feedback to employees
- Manage compensation and benefits programs
- Develop and execute day-to-day people, talent acquisition, and culture initiatives
- Handle employee relations issues and promote a positive work environment
- Organize employee events and implement recognition programs
- 8+ years of experience in HR/People Operations, including at least 3 years in a managerial role
- Mission-driven with strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to commute to our downtown Toronto office 2-3 days a week
- Experience working in a startup or fast-growing tech company
- Deep understanding of Employment Standards and employment equity regulations
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can change direction and pivot with competing priorities
- Positive can-do attitude, team player, and passionate about entrepreneurship
