Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Planning Expert to join our Critical Infrastructure team at Parsons Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading multimodal transportation modelling projects and tasks, including day-to-day management of work scope, schedule, and budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute work plans for transportation modelling projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations, and participate in client meetings and public information sessions.
  • Contribute to proposal preparation and coordination, developing project understanding, methodology, and work programs.
  • Assist with team management and development, including mentoring and training junior staff.
Requirements
  • University degree in Transportation Planning/Engineering or a related field, combined with relevant technical background and project management experience.
  • 5-10 years of experience in multimodal transportation planning and/or traffic modelling and analytics, including master plans, environmental assessments, and transportation infrastructure design studies.
  • Intimate knowledge of transportation planning and traffic engineering practices, including Travel Demand Modelling/Forecasting and multimodal transportation modelling methods.
  • Excellent working knowledge of transportation data management and analysis using GIS/databases and programming languages such as C and Python.
  • Registration with Professional Engineers of Ontario or other relevant professional licensing organizations is desired.
