About the Opportunity
The Squamish Nation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookings and Events Coordinator to join our Squamish Valley Operations Department. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support for the SV Comm Ops Team, focusing on bookings of events for the Totem Hall. This role requires a high level of administrative and office/time management skills to meet the diverse administrative needs of our department.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the administrative needs of the SV Comm Ops division, primarily relating to bookings of the Totem Hall.
- Provide critical communication and scheduling links between renters, Totem Hall Staff, and Staff of external departments.
- Manage facility rental and recreation policies, practices, and protocols.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure seamless event planning and execution.
Requirements
- Combination of education and experience.
- Extensive technical skills in accounting and commitment to continuous development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team-oriented and fosters positive relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders.
- High level of emotional intelligence, patience, and integrity.
- Able to explain complex information to stakeholders in a meaningful way.
- Acts ethically and handles sensitive information with confidentiality.
