About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and physically fit individual to join our team as a Construction Trades Assistant at Rafat General Contractor Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist skilled tradespersons with various construction tasks, including loading and unloading materials, erecting and dismantling forms and scaffolding, and mixing and pouring concrete.
  • Operate heavy equipment and machinery, such as circular saws and drills, to support construction activities.
  • Participate in site preparation, including cleaning and clearing debris, and assisting with emergency roadside repairs.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a construction-related field, preferably in a laborer or assistant role.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy loads.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
