The position of Manufacturing Process Specialist is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the development of life-saving medical devices.
Salary:
$20/hour (after training) or approximately $41,600/year based on full-time hours.
About the Job:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for performing production duties in the Chemical Sterilization areas (clean rooms) in accordance with good manufacturing practice and established standard operating procedures.
- This role involves chemically sterilizing and aseptically transferring bioprosthetic heart valves, assembling/disassembling and monitoring process equipment used for the sterilization of bioprosthetic heart valves, and maintaining traceability and proper documentation on all materials and components processed in the area.
- You will also be responsible for documenting work accurately and completely in the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), BPCS Business System, forms or logbooks/daily production logs as applicable.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A technical diploma or degree in a relevant area.
- Mechanical aptitude with good manual dexterity and ability to do repetitive detailed work within guidelines.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills to follow procedures written in English and to maintain precise records.
- Able to work well with co-workers in a team environment with limited supervision.
- Relevant experience with equipment process control systems (HMI/PLC).
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Working Conditions:
- Constantly working in a controlled environment requiring special garments, gloves, masks, etc. which may be confining.
- Constantly using safety equipment safety goggles/glasses, apron with sleeves, full face respirator.
- Frequently working with chemicals that are caustic, toxic, flammable, and/or have the potential to cause serious health effects.
- Occasionally working in an enclosed space (Half suit isolator).
- Constantly standing or walking.
- Occasionally lifting up to 35 lbs.
- Occasionally carrying up to 35 lbs.
- Occasionally pushing cars and vessels.
- Occasionally kneeling/bending.
