Job SummaryWe're seeking a skilled Delivery Operations Specialist to join our team in Quebec City. As a key member of our operations team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our meal kits to customers.
Key Responsibilities- Assign routes to drivers based on a weekly game plan and schedule, utilizing your knowledge to optimize delivery efficiency.
- Utilize your attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate work.
- Become proficient in Onfleet, our live dispatch application, to meet timelines and strategic goals.
- Create delivery routes and update associated internal documents according to procedure and policy.
- Provide support, address issues, and communicate with drivers in-person or remotely via Slack.
- Produce and manage the schedule for all contractors in your geography, contributing to hiring new contractors as needed.
- Monitor delivery efficiency, facilitate communication between drivers and customers, and assist at our local facility on delivery days.
- Recruit and train new drivers, proactively solving logistics issues and escalating as needed.
- Deliver leftover routes to customers and ensure payroll and scheduling-related concerns are handled.
- Direct the pickup and delivery activities of drivers, providing accurate directions for pickup and delivery services when needed.
- College or university degree (preferred) or high school diploma and equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in an operational role, demonstrating career progression, including at least 1 year of experience in last-mile delivery and/or delivery logistics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong track record of delivering results in a challenging environment.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks as per importance, and having a strong command of Google Suite and Slack.
- Valid driver's license, own properly insured vehicle, and transportation industry knowledge and experience an asset.
- Position based in Quebec City.
