Stable Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stable Manager to join our team at G&G Sporthorses Ltd.
Job Summary:The Stable Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our horse breeding and training facility. This includes managing the care and well-being of our horses, supervising staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of our farm.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the daily care and maintenance of our horses, including feeding, grooming, and veterinary care.
- Supervise and train staff to ensure they are meeting the highest standards of horse care and handling.
- Develop and implement plans to prioritize tasks and ensure the efficient operation of the farm.
- Direct farm feed inventory activities and ensure the proper storage and handling of feed and supplies.
- Direct farm grooming activities and ensure the horses are properly groomed and presented.
- Handle and care for animals, including monitoring their health and well-being.
- Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures.
- Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed by all staff.
- Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs.
- Train horses and ensure they are properly cared for and handled.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
- Perform general farm duties as required.
- 1-2 years of experience in horse breeding and training.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Work in a rural area with a fast-paced environment.
- Work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Physically demanding work with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Large workload with a focus on attention to detail.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Team player with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.
- Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
- Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
Language of Work: English
Hours of Work: 35-40 hours per week
