Job Title: Room Attendant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Room Attendant to join our team at Campbell River Lodge. As a Room Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our guest rooms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds, and change sheets.
  • Guest Services: Distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closet, and launder clothing and household linens.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees:
  • Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
  • Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
  • Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
Support for Indigenous People:
  • Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
  • Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.

Working Conditions: Permanent position, 30 to 40 hours per week, English language required.
