Job Summary:

This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled Welder to join our team at Bouchier. As a Welder Journeyperson, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality welds in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure accurate and efficient welding.
  • Examine welds to ensure they meet CWB, ABSA standards and specifications, and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Utilize various welding techniques, including Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Oxy-acetylene welding (OAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW), Plasma Arc Welding (PAW), and others.
  • Ability to weld stainless steel, iron, and heavy metals, as well as aluminum, nickel, titanium, and other alloys, and composites.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Inter-provincial (Red Seal) or Alberta certified Journeyman Welder certificate.
  • B Pressure Welding Certification.
  • ABSA Performance Qualification Card.
  • 3 years of experience in a related field, with previous oil and construction experience preferred.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Valid CSTS and OSSA (Oil Sands Safety Association) or CSO is a MUST.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write fluently in English.
