Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Parkland Corporation. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall performance of our business units, ensuring that our operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures.
- Provide coaching and development opportunities for team members, ensuring good succession planning.
- Foster a positive work environment that aligns with Parkland's values and best practices.
- Supervise day-to-day operations, ensuring all tasks are completed correctly and efficiently.
- Work with the Territory Manager to analyze and review branch finances and operations, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Plan and conduct customer calls and visits to provide exceptional service and build strong relationships.
- Manage product inventory, ensuring timely replenishment and minimizing stockouts.
- Provide product knowledge and solutions to customers and employees.
- Oversee maintenance of property and equipment, ensuring everything is in good working order.
- Liaise with various stakeholders, including the Territory Manager, other branches, and internal departments.
- Participate in the request for quotation and request for proposal processes, analyzing success and identifying areas for improvement.
- Address customer issues related to pricing and deliveries, developing solutions that meet their needs.
- Assign, coordinate, and schedule work for employees, including leaves and vacations.
- University degree and/or 5+ years of progressive experience in operations management, business accounting, marketing, and sales.
- Industry knowledge relating to energy distribution is an asset.
- Proven experience leading and supervising a team.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain a pleasant and friendly manner.
- Experience working with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Safety-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel weekly, or as required, for business purposes.
- Availability for after-hours and on-call duties to meet business demands.
