Job Title: HSE Compliance Specialist

Job Summary:

The HSE Compliance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at our construction sites. This includes developing and maintaining effective HSE prevention programs, providing support for all projects during all phases, and carrying out regular safety checks and inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain effective HSE prevention programs in compliance with Company standards, customer requirements, and provincial and federal regulations.
  • Provide HSE support for all projects during all phases, including bidding, planning, engineering, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and servicing of hydro sites.
  • Carry out and record regular safety checks and inspections.
  • Provide assistance in Design and Activity Risk Analysis.
  • Perform internal audits in construction sites and facilities and coordinate external audits.
  • Develop, conduct, and coordinate required HSE trainings, including E-Learning tools.
  • Develop preventive maintenance programs and ensure hazardous material management.
  • Primary support in case of HSE issues, coordinating investigation and performing Root Cause Analysis.
  • Coordinate with the Workers Compensation Board and Safety Groups in each province.
  • Coordinate and support HSE site officers.
  • Coordinate First Aid Rescue, First Aid Responders, and Fire Protection Programs.
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships regarding HSE topics.
  • Coordinate safety committees for facilities and perform HSE reviews with management.
  • Implement ISO and maintain ISO and COR certification for applicable provinces.
