Assistant Professor Position in Plant Single Cell Biology

We are seeking an exceptional candidate to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cell and Systems Biology at the University of Toronto. The successful candidate will have a strong background in plant single cell biology and a demonstrated track record of excellence in research and teaching.
Job Summary:The Department of Cell and Systems Biology invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position in the field of plant single cell biology at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will be expected to pursue a vigorous, innovative, and independent research program and to establish an outstanding, competitive, and externally funded research program.
Responsibilities:- Pursue a vigorous, innovative, and independent research program in plant single cell biology
- Establish an outstanding, competitive, and externally funded research program
- Teach undergraduate and graduate students in the Department of Cell and Systems Biology
- Mentor students and postdoctoral fellows in research and academic pursuits
- Ph.D. in Biology or a related field
- Minimum of two years of postdoctoral experience
- Demonstrated excellence in research and teaching
- Strong background in plant single cell biology
